Cargo ballast and technological operations on tankers simulator.

Cargo ballast and technological operations on tankers LCHS-2000 simulator  manufactured by "TRANSAS" company includes a place for an instructor and 6 working places for trainees.

Simulators are unique means for preparation of personnel of tankers, capable to carry out the functions safely and effectively.

The simulator allows to study operations on:

  • oil tankers;
  • gas tankers of LPG type ;
  • chemical tankers.

These simulators are manufactured in full conformity with IMO Model Courses and intended for:

  • study the construction of a tanker,  it's supply with technical means and systems;
  • training in systems and units control;
  • study devices and operation of parameters monitoring system and signalling system;
  • training in correct performance of technological operations in standard and emergency situations, including operations of calculation of stability and strength.

Graphic interface optimized for understanding of principles of all system operation and to obtain practical skills in trainees' operation with the equipment plays the great role. Mathematical model of used vessel during the performance of stability and strength tasks, is used onboard of hundreds ships all over the world.

It is possible to choose various types of cargoes from an existing database of  simulator.

Simulator for radio operators
(Global Maritime Distress and Safety System)

GMDSS TGS-400 simulator made by “TRANSAS” company includes the instructor’s workplace and 8 trainee workplaces two of which are completed with working panels. There is radio equipment and up-to-date normative documents in the training classroom.

The simulator gives the following possibilities:

  • Operation of all the GMDSS radio subsystem units;
  • Imitation of radio communication in phone, telex and DSC rates due to radio waves spreading;
  • Availability of e-mail with the list of coast stations and pointing to the real ship position;
  • Representation  GMDSS sea areas on the chart, search and rescue areas and distance of radio waves spreading;
  • Turning on the external active loud speakers for audio watch at several channels;
  • Possibility of linking up the TGS4000 with real operation panels VHF&DSC RT4822, MF/HF&DSC HC4500, Inmarsat-C H2095C, Battery Panel BP4680 ( in the imitation condition of radio equipment SAILOR system 4000)

The GMSSB training classroom is completed with working receivers NAVTEX, VHF portable radio station, emergency radio beacons COSPAS-SARSAT, radio location responder.

Medical class “AMBI”

Studies according to train ratings and officers are carried out with the usage of medical training aids, phantoms, plaster casts, imitators, sets for medical first aid and medical care, diagnostic equipment and means of care for sick men. Medical class “AMBI” secures accomplishment of required minimum course, which is provided by Rules VI/1, VI/4 p.1 of STCW Convention and parts A-VI/1, A-VI/4 p.p. 1.6, tables A- VI/1-3, A- VI/4-1, A- VI/4-2 of STCW Code.

Qualified doctors are enlisted for training seafarers. Medical classroom is completed with show stands, instructional wall sheets, video materials, which are used during class studies and for trainee individual work.

The Training Navigation Complex – MARLOT

Software of Training Navigation Complex achieves the expert estimation of Russian Marine Register of Navigation in accordance with the requirements to normative documents: Resolution IMO A.482 (XII), Resolution IMO A.483 (XII), Seafarers’ Training, Certification and Watchkeeping Code (STCW Code, requirements applied into standards of competency of ship’s management, Part  A-II/2, A-II-3).

The Training Complex is designed for formation at navigators of skills on:

  • Definition of element motions of ships by a graphic way;
  • Ocular estimation of radar situation;
  • Choice and performance of manoeuvre for sailing in the open sea and in congested water with the usage of radar station data;
  • Using ARPA;
  • Sailing on waterway equipped with marks of a navigating protection;
  • Passing the straits and areas with navigating dangers.

Navigation conditions are simulated:

    • Active ships (from 2 to 6), controlled by operators;
    • Ship-targets (up to 20), controlled by instructor or program;
    • Navigation marks
    • Coastline of definite navigating area, including straits, sea and river water areas
    • Wind and stream;
    • Disturbances to radar observation.
