Training center of seafarers “AVANT” is quite modern educational center that dynamically develops and gaining its strength. “AVANT” courses are certified for preparation, attestation training, refresher & updating of different marine specialists in accordance with the requirements of International Convention, national standards and demands of shipping companies requiring the basic training in preparation and education of future specialists. Comfortable and favourable conditions are created in the center for training seamen and receiving all the necessary certificates of competency according to International Convention STCW 78/95 as to preparation of seaman of the Ministry of Transport of Ukraine that is becoming very crucial now.

   All plans and programs are certified, supported and granted by the Inspection Comission of the training center. Preparation of specialists is licensed by the Department of Education and Science in Ukraine.   “AVANT Center” fully corresponds to the International Register of Navigation of Ukraine and the International standards of ISO 9001-2001. The instructor-teaching stuff of the center is highly qualified and has gained great experience working on foreign vessels with mixed crews around the world. They are deep sea captains, chief engineers, electricians, electronic engineers, etc. There are a lot of merchant fleet of the Odessa Maritime National Academy with scientific degrees and diplomas.

The future of “AVANT Center” is closely connected with the preparation of highly skilled marine specialists both for domestic and for foreign shipping companies and etc. The training center and its base is in Illichivsk professional ship-repair lyceum, in the Odessa secondary nautical school by Marinesko and in the Odessa nautical school of fishing industry by Solyanik. Aims and tasks and also the business policy of “AVANT Center” are directed to professional preparation of seamen at all levels.
